Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide are the three cities where RS Doors & Windows provides local consultation, measurement, delivery, installation and after-sales service. Outside those three cities the supply is product only. This guide sets out what is the same across the three cities and what differs.
Updated: 15 October 2026Buyers comparing suppliers across states usually ask two questions: can you install here, and how long will it take. The first has a clear answer by city. The second depends on the sea route, and Adelaide is the one city where the published planning reference is longer.
Quick answer
Local installation. Available in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. For other Australian locations the supply is product only, and installation can be discussed on a project basis.
Local locations. Sydney: 109 Lakemba St, Belmore NSW 2192. Melbourne: 1C/224 Wellington Rd, Clayton VIC 3168. Adelaide: Warehouse 2, 248-250 Richmond Rd, Marleston SA 5033.
Planning reference. Approximately ten to twelve weeks from production to site delivery. Adelaide is typically fourteen to sixteen weeks, because of the sea route.
Standard delivery range. Quoted with a delivery address within about 50 km of the Australian warehouse used for the order as the standard charging range.
Project record. The published project showcase lists completed projects in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, plus one in Canberra. It is a partial record; more projects and address-level references are available from the RS team.
1. What is the same in all three cities
- local consultation, measurement, delivery, installation and after-sales service;
- the same product range, series and published maximum sizes;
- the same AS 2047 evidence base, including StandardsMark certificate SMK40453, under the standard that governs windows and external glazed doors in buildings (AS 2047);
- the same warranty framework, with the exact terms set out in the signed Warranty for each order;
- the same delivery terms: EXW, FOB, CIF or DDP, to site or to the Australian warehouse.
How this guide was put together
This guide is compiled from the service coverage notes for the three locations, the delivery and storage terms used in quotations, and the published project index. The figures quoted here — timeframes, storage periods, delivery ranges, warranty periods and size limits — are the ones used in project quotations and warranty documents rather than marketing estimates. Where a figure depends on the individual project, such as final pricing, site conditions, or warranty conditions for coastal and custom projects, the guide says so and points to the signed document that governs it.
2. What differs
| City | Local service | Local location | Planning reference to site delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sydney | Consultation, measurement, delivery, installation, after-sales | 109 Lakemba St, Belmore NSW 2192 | Approximately ten to twelve weeks |
| Melbourne | Consultation, measurement, delivery, installation, after-sales | 1C/224 Wellington Rd, Clayton VIC 3168 | Approximately ten to twelve weeks |
| Adelaide | Consultation, measurement, delivery, installation, after-sales | Warehouse 2, 248-250 Richmond Rd, Marleston SA 5033 | Typically fourteen to sixteen weeks |
| Other locations | Product supply only; installation discussed on a project basis | — | Confirm the planning reference for the project |
The Adelaide planning reference is longer because the sea route differs. That is a programme fact rather than a service difference: the same products, the same installation team model and the same warranty framework apply.
3. Delivery and storage across the three cities
Standard delivery is quoted on the basis that the site has a suitable area for unloading and that a truck can reach it, with a delivery address within about 50 km of the Australian warehouse used for the order as the standard charging range. Where the address sits outside that range, the order is below the minimum quantity, or site conditions do not meet standard delivery requirements, additional transport costs are listed as a separate item.
After arrival, 14 days of free storage applies to DDP-to-site orders. Beyond that, storage is charged by the area used, and a part week is normally counted as a full week.
4. Local project record
The project showcase on this site lists completed projects by location. At the time of writing it lists 30 projects across Sydney suburbs, 22 across Melbourne suburbs, 12 in Adelaide and one in Canberra. The showcase is a partial record rather than a complete project list; for more projects and suburb-level references, including map information, contact the RS team. Where a project is comparable to yours, the closest reference is usually a matter of suburb and opening type rather than city.
5. How to use this when comparing suppliers
- Ask which city the installation team is actually based in, and who coordinates them.
- Ask for the planning reference for your city, not the general one.
- Ask whether the quoted price assumes a delivery address inside the standard range.
- Ask what happens to storage after arrival, and whether your order is DDP to site.
- Ask which warranty terms apply, and where the boundaries are written down.
